Dudley Council has launched a borough-wide engagement programme called Our Dudley. Our Future. to gather views on the opportunities, priorities and ambitions that should guide the council over the next ten years.
Residents, businesses and community organisations are being invited to take part and help shape a shared vision for the borough. The council says the vision will support its decision-making and ensure local people's voices are at the heart of shaping its future priorities.
How to get involved
Over the coming weeks, people can participate through an online survey, community engagement events and conversations taking place across Dudley Borough.
Councillor Patrick Harley, Leader of Dudley Council, said: "Dudley Borough has a proud history and an exciting future. We want local people, businesses and community organisations to tell us what matters most to them and what they want their Council to support the next ten years. This is your chance to help shape a shared vision that reflects the ambitions of our communities and future generations."
Balvinder Heran, Chief Executive, said: "The most effective council vision will be one that is shaped by the people who know Dudley best. We want to hear from as many people as possible, from every community and every generation, so that together we can create a vision that belongs to all of us."
What happens next
The engagement will inform the development of a draft vision for further public engagement before a final version is agreed.
The Dudley Council Vision survey closes on 8 October. To find out more and take part, visit dudley.gov.uk/ourdudleyourfuture/
