Dudley Council is offering support to residents experiencing financial difficulties through the Crisis and Resilience Fund (CRF), a government-funded programme running from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2029.
The fund is designed to help people and families facing an unexpected financial crisis, whether caused by a sudden change in circumstances, loss of income, an unexpected bill, or emergency expense.
What support is available
Support is tailored to individual circumstances and may include help with food, energy costs, and essential household items such as furniture or white goods. Residents may also be connected with access to specialist advice services, vouchers, practical support, or financial assistance depending on their needs.
Beyond immediate crisis support, the fund aims to connect residents with wider services that can strengthen longer-term financial resilience. This includes help with benefits, debt, budgeting, housing, employment, and wellbeing.
Council commitment
Councillor Andrea Goddard, cabinet member for adult social care and public health, said the fund recognises that financial crises are stressful and worrying for those affected. "Every person's circumstances are different, so support is tailored to individual needs," she said. "By working with local organisations and frontline services, we can help ensure residents receive the support that best meets their needs."
How to access the fund
Residents can find out more about the support available and local eligibility arrangements on the Dudley Council website.
