Dudley-based, Birmingham-born artist, songwriter and producer Lyriqé is preparing to release a new R&B single on Tuesday 20 October.
Appetite is the first release in Social Currency, a project she describes as exploring desire, value, access and power.
The independent musician says the project grew from a decision to develop more of the production and business infrastructure behind her own work.

In her announcement, she described the difficulty of being able to access opportunities without necessarily having the resources to pursue them. She said she wanted greater control over the way her career developed.
Alongside the music, Lyriqé is developing Fiercely Independent, a self-produced documentary-style series about the creative and commercial work behind the project. Its subjects include production, visual storytelling, marketing and business development.
The single is due to arrive on digital streaming platforms on 20 October 2026. The artist supplied a press portrait and the release artwork to accompany the announcement.
