Care experienced young people from Dudley borough have helped create a new brand identity for Dudley Care Experience Team. The young people involved have spent time in the care system, including foster care, residential children's homes, and kinship care.

The brand was developed through a co-production project between Dudley Council and the young people themselves. Their voices, experiences and ambitions shaped every element — from the design and colours to the messaging and strapline.

The New Strapline

The new strapline, Growing Together, Creating Our Future, captures a shared commitment to support, opportunity and achieving goals together. Young people involved in the project said they wanted an identity that felt positive, forward-looking and representative of their experiences.

Council Commitment

Councillor Wayne Little, Cabinet Member for Children and Young People, said: "This is a fantastic achievement and one that our care experienced young people should be incredibly proud of. From the very beginning, young people have led the thinking behind the new identity of this fantastic service. Their ideas, creativity and lived experience have shaped everything from the design and colours to the powerful message that sits behind it."

He added: "Growing Together, Creating Our Future perfectly reflects our ambition to work alongside young people, not just for them. It recognises that the best services are created when young people are involved in shaping them. As a council, we are committed to being the very best corporate parent we can be."

What Happens Next

The new branding will feature across communications to come, online resources and future engagement activities, helping to create a stronger and more recognisable identity for care experienced young people across Dudley.
