Around 2,500 Attend Dudley Pride on Stone Street Square

Around 2,500 people attended Dudley Pride on Saturday, July 18, at Stone Street Square, enjoying a day of live entertainment, stalls and activities.

BBC's RuPaul's Drag Race UK series two winner Tia Kofi headlined the free event. The line-up also included Karl M performing Best of the Boybands anthems, Bedazzle from Priory House, West Midlands Youth Theatre's showstopping songs, and queer riot girrrl band Temper Tantrum.

Stalls and Activities

More than 30 stalls offered crafts, food and activities throughout the day. Visitors also enjoyed face painting, glitter tattoos and street performances.

Councillor Pete Lowe, Mayor of Dudley, said: "Dudley Pride continues to go from strength to strength, bringing people together in a vibrant celebration of inclusivity, diversity and community.

"It was fantastic to see so many residents and visitors enjoying the entertainment, and the atmosphere throughout the day was incredible. Our Pride events continue to raise awareness of inclusivity and visibility of our LGBTQ+ community across all aspects of our lives."
