Dudley Council has scheduled improvement works at Andrew Road car park in Halesowen, starting 1 September. The car park will close from the evening of 31 August, with work expected to take two days to complete.
The works are part of the council's capital improvement programme. A significant part of the car park surface will be planed off and resurfaced, with parking bay markings re-marked upon completion.
What drivers need to do
Access to the car park will be shut off from 7pm on 31 August. Drivers are advised to remove their vehicles from the car park before this deadline. Access will not be possible until the work is completed.
Why the works are happening
Councillor Simon Phipps, cabinet member for economy and infrastructure, said the improvement works will help ensure Andrew Road car park remains safe, accessible and fit for purpose for the many residents and visitors who use it. He thanked motorists for their patience during the temporary closure.
