The Red House Glass Cone in Wordsley is expanding its craft and office studio spaces with a number of new tenants, adding to its established businesses and recent café opening.
The 230-year-old heritage attraction will welcome a potter, taxidermist, wood turner and gin school to its craft studios. These spaces are designed around the principle of craft in action — allowing visitors to watch items being made, purchase finished pieces and try crafts themselves.
The new craft tenants will join existing businesses Glass Quarter Designs, Tandem Crafts, Blowfish Glass, Elliot Walker Glass Sculpture, I Luv Pebbles, and Glen Callum Associates.
Café and Wellness Services
Heavenly Baking at the Cone opened officially in October 2025 and has become an established part of the site. The venue has also attracted office studio tenants including Alikease Holistic & Wellbeing Therapies and Beauty by DuMont.
First Aid Provision Strengthened
Martin Griffiths of MG Training and Events Ltd is also taking up residence in the office studios. His business offers accredited first aid training and medical cover for events of all sizes. Griffiths has donated a defibrillator and bleed kit for use on-site at the Cone, adding to the venue's existing first aid provision.
Councillor Damian Corfield, cabinet member for neighbourhoods, said the new businesses would bring fresh energy and enhance the visitor experience. He described Griffiths' donation as "incredibly generous" and welcomed the additions to on-site first aid facilities.
